Tim Searchinger is a Research Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. His research combines ecology and economics to analyze the challenge of how to feed a growing world population while reducing land use change and greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture.
Timothy also serves as a Senior Fellow and Technical Director of the next World Resources Report for the World Resources Institute, the World Bank and various UN agencies, entitled Creating a Sustainable Food Future.
Timothy is an author or co-author of many publications about reducing nitrogen impacts on the environment, including a paper in Nature called Managing Nitrogen for Sustainable Development, and a recent paper in Nature Communications called A Technology-Forcing Approach to Reduce Nitrogen Pollution.
