Andrew WatsonGlobal Head of Anti-Corruption at Oxfam GB
Andrew Watson is the Global Head of Anti-Corruption for Oxfam GB. He oversees the prevention and investigation of corruption across the 27 countries where Oxfam are delivering humanitarian and development work in Africa, Asia and MENA. Prior to Oxfam, he led the Industry Integrity Team at Transparency International’s Defence and Security Programme where he conducted advocacy and developed policy solutions to tackle corruption in the defence industry, defence ministries and the global arms trade. Andrew has a law enforcement background having served for a decade as a detective with the Metropolitan Police. His final posting was spent serving with Scotland Yard’s Anti-Corruption Command where he specialised in the investigation of bribery, corruption and organised crime. He has advocated for and advised on anti-corruption in the public, private and third sectors, has a particular interest in best practice in whistleblower protection and has authored a number of articles and written best practice guidance.
