Barbara CattrysseAdvisor to EIB Vice President Thomsen at European Investment Bank
Barbara Cattrysse is currently Advisor to Vice President Christian Kettel Thomsen of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg, prior to which she was Senior Legal Counsel at the EIB advising as in-house State aid lawyer on project finance, the design of financial instruments, and related policy developments. Previously, Ms Cattrysse worked for 9 years at Directorate General Competition of the European Commission, as well as law firms. Ms Cattrysse has an LLM from the University of London, King’s College London, an LLM from the University of Ghent, and an Executive Master in Finance from the Solvay Business School. She regularly speaks at State aid events, in particular related to the crisis, financial instruments, access to finance, developments banks, and has published on these subjects.
