Christopher Vajda has been the UK's judge on the European Court of Justice in Luxemburg since October 2012. Prior to his appointment, he practised as a barrister in London and Brussels for over thirty years, specialising in EU and competition law. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1997 and a Bencher of Gray's Inn in 2003. He also served as a Recorder of the Crown Court from 2003 to 2012. He is a graduate of Cambridge University and the Université libre de Bruxelles.
