David is a Director in Frontier’s Competition practice, and joined Frontier upon its foundation in 1999.
He advises firms facing competition investigations in relation to mergers, agreements, abuses of dominance, and sectoral inquiries. He has been involved in many of the highest-profile competition cases in the UK and EU in the past 20+ years.
David has extensive experience in digital and technology markets. He heads Frontier’s work for Facebook in Europe, where he is advising on multiple investigations at EC level and at national competition authority level. He has advised on many digital platform mergers, including Just Eat/Hungryhouse, Digital Property Group/Zoopla, TotalJobs/Jobsite, and Hostelworld/Hostelbookers, each of which was cleared unconditionally by the CMA at either Phase 1 or Phase 2.
Other recent clients include Tesco, First Group, Lloyds Bank, Hewlett Packard, Booker, Aggregate Industries, Disney, Caterpillar, Rolls Royce, English Welsh and Scottish Railway, ITV, Premier League, and the National Health Service.
David also provides expert advice in litigation and arbitration cases, and has given evidence in several courts and tribunals in multiple countries.
