Ryan QuillianDeputy Assistant Director, Technology Enforcement Division, Bureau of Competition at Federal Trade Commission
Ryan Quillian is a Deputy Assistant Director of the Technology Enforcement Division of the Bureau of Competition at the Federal Trade Commission. Since joining the Commission in 2014, Ryan has held a variety of positions. Most recently he serves as Counsel to the Director of the Bureau of Competition, where he was involved in several enforcement actions, including FTC v. Post/TreeHouse, In re Illumina/PacBio, and FTC v. Surescripts. Previously, he was an Attorney Advisor to Commissioner Noah Joshua Phillips, an Acting Deputy Assistant Director of the Mergers IV Division, and a staff attorney in Mergers IV. While in Mergers IV, Ryan worked on several of the Division’s high-profile matters, including DraftKings/FanDuel, Staples/Office Depot, and Sysco/US Foods. Prior to joining the FTC, Ryan was an associate in the antitrust group at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.
