Julya Fridman
VP, Programming Data Analytics at Charter Communications

Profile

Julya Fridman serves as Charter’s VP of Programming Data Analytics, and is charged with providing data-driven strategic recommendations to inform multi-billion dollar annual programming investment decisions.

Previously, she was Vice President, Multiplatform & Distribution Analytics at A+E Networks, a position she has held since January, 2014. In this role, Julya led the multiplatform analytics efforts for A+E Networks, including the measurement and valuation of content across all platforms, supporting all brands in the A+E Networks’ portfolio. In addition, she handled the evaluation and execution of new business partnerships with non-traditional content distributors, such as virtual MVPDs and Connected TV / Device manufacturers.

Julya's responsibility has expanded from her previous role of Vice President, Business Development and Distribution Analytics at A+E Networks, where she was responsible for providing in depth insights and analyses to inform key distribution-related business decisions and initiatives across all A+E Networks’ brands, including HISTORY, A&E and Lifetime.

Prior to joining A+E Networks in 2007, Julya led Distribution Research efforts at Starz Entertainment Group, where she was instrumental in the launch of Starz on Demand and the addition of three new channels to the Starz package. She has also held positions in Market and Competitive Intelligence at Comcast (formerly AT&T Broadband) and CenturyLink (formerly Qwest Communication).

Julya co-chairs the Insights and Analytics Council of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and serves on the Forrester Leadership Board.

She holds an M.B.A. degree in Business Strategy from Yale School of Management and a B.S. degree, suma cum laude, in International Business and Marketing from University of Colorado at Boulder.
