Jordan Dimitrov, PhD
Scientist, Department of Immunology at INSERM - Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers

Jordan D. Dimitrov obtained a PhD in immunology from Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Microbiology in 2008, under supervision of Prof. Tchavdar Vassilev. The focus of his doctorate was on polyreactive antibodies. After his graduation, Jordan did a postdoc in the laboratory of Dr. Sébastien Lacroix-Desmazes in Paris. His work was focused on understanding the immunogenicity of therapeutic Factor VIII and studies of molecular mechanisms of neutralization of Factor VIII by antibodies. Since 2011 Jordan has been recruited as a tenured researcher at INSERM (National Institute for Health and Medical Research), Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers in Paris. In 2016 he obtained a grant from the European Research Council dedicated on elucidation of mechanism and biological functions of cofactor binding antibodies. The current research interests of Jordan include antibody polyreactivity, interaction of antibodies with low molecular weight substances, physiopathological roles of heme, and mechanism of immune recognition.
