Senior Legal Manager at Thermo Fisher

Virginia Zaleta joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2019 as Sr. Legal Manager for Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Colombia, and Venezuela. In this role, Virginia is responsible for providing guidance and legal in a wide range of substantive legal areas, including corporate law, legal and regulatory compliance, government contracts, commercial law and to a limited degree, litigation. 

Virginia has worked for almost 19 years in various multinational companies in diverse sectors such as Iberdrola Engineering and Construction as Legal Director for Mexico and Central America, Techint Engineering and Construction as Legal Manager for the North America Region, and Enel Green Power as Legal Counsel for Mexico. She is a graduate of the Universidad de las Américas in Mexico City with a Bachelor of Law, specialized in Corporate Law, and has Private International Law Studies from The Hague Academy of International Law in the The Hague, Netherlands.
