Profile

Christopher King has a broad background in the marine business, primarily in operations and technical management. He is Director of Operations for Petro-Nav, a Tanker Operator that time charters and operates 11 tankers in the Canadian domestic and international trades.

Chris co-ordinates the arctic sealift program for Petro-Nav. The arctic sealift is the delivery of fuel to remote communities and mine sites throughout the arctic by means of floating hose operations.

Chris’s seagoing career commenced with Shell Canada Tankers, where he rose to the rank of Chief Engineer. During this time he was involved in the arctic sealift each year gaining hands on experience as to the challenges of fuel delivery to arctic communities. Following his seagoing career he worked ashore in Shell Canada’s Sarnia Refinery followed by 11 years as a Superintendent Engineer at Canada Steamship Lines
