Simon Klenk, PhD, joined BioNTech SE in 2019 as a research scientist working on instrumental analytics of RNA. Since November 2021 he is heading the RNA Analytics team, coordinating analytical method development for RNA drug substances within the clinical project pipeline. He has a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry and protein chemistry holding a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in chemistry from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, and his PhD from the Humboldt-Universität in Berlin, Germany.
