The Hon. Thomas A. Ambro is Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. The Third Circuit hears appeals in bankruptcy cases decided by the United States Bankruptcy Court for Delaware, among other matters. Before joining the bench, Judge Ambro had a distinguished career at the bar as a partner and chair of the Restructuring Practice at Richards, Layton + Finger in Wilmington, Delaware. In addition to his duties on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, he was appointed to serve as the Special Mediator for Puerto Rico’s Title III bankruptcy. He is a graduate of Georgetown University (BA) and Georgetown University Law Center (JD).
