Lydia CharilaouHead of Learning and Development at Olam International
Lydia is regional Head of People Development and lead for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (IDE) at Olam Food Ingredients. With over a decade of experience in the People arena, her drive for equity in the workplace often finds her discussing the meaning of inclusion. Of mixed cultural heritage and dual nationality, she is interested in how people identify vs how they appear on paper. She wants to live in a world where all girls and women has access to free education.
In 2019 before the world experienced a pandemic, she formed a networking group to give likeminded people a place to come together, share experiences and knowledge. Her next virtual event will focus on ethnicity and race. A member of networking group (Women in Learning) she has been a panel member on Learning Now TV and a guest speaker on Women Talking about Learning podcast.
Her academic background in Psychology and HR management, combined with an Agile HR qualification has enabled her naturally inquisitive mindset to flourish. She is excited to join the D&I panel discussion at the ATD conference this year.
