Caro van Eekelen (1963) studied Hospitality Management and started working at Golden Tulip International, at which she was responsible for opening a variety of international hotels. After that, during her 14 year employment at Disneyland Resort Paris, she was responsible for Operations and HR during the first years of the park. From 2006 she started her own consultancy firm. With her firm, she consults companies in the hospitality branch who have issues with management or organization. In July 2009 she became the first female Country Director with Accor Hotels, from which she became Senior Vice President for Novotel and Suite Novotel in Northern Europe. Currently, as the Senior Vice President Learning & Development and Transformation of AccorHotels she, with all of her heart and enthusiasm, takes on the cultural change program, "Heartist". She is an advocate for diversity in her company.
