Captain Yoss Leclerc has over 30 years’ experience in Navigation, Logistics, Transportation and Port Industry, including several years, working at senior level positions both at sea and ashore.
During his career at sea, Captain Yoss Leclerc was specialized in LNGs, LPGs, chemicals and oil tankers.
Captain Yoss Leclerc had the opportunity to work and collaborate to the strategic development of several major Canadian ports, such as Port Metro Vancouver and Port of Montreal.
Over his many years in the maritime industry he has proven his vast and detailed knowledge base and used his experience to develop sustainable solutions in response to myriad of complex and diverse issues related to safety, security, emergency preparedness, environmental protection and project management.
Lately, as the VP and Chief of Maritime Operations at Quebec Port Authority, he has been leading the development of the Port safety management system, including waterways management and optimization and the implantation of port’s environmental impact evaluation process.
His role as Vice-president of the International Harbour Masters Association enables him to work on different international marine issues with international organizations such as IMO, ILO, IPA and PAINC.
Yoss holds a Master Mariner Certificate (FG), a Bachelor of Sciences, and a Master in Business Administration, with a specialization in Logistics & Transport, from the University of Montreal.
