Dr. Hong Chen, Principal/Owner of BlueTie Consulting, LLC, has over 30 years of experience in both agriculture and medicine fields involving research and development, regulatory compliance, product approval and governmental affairs for a wide variety of regulated products. During her previous careers with HARC and IR-4 Project, Dr. Chen worked with national and international regulatory bodies including US EPA, JMPR and CCPR. Prior to starting her own consulting business, Hong worked as the Director of Asia/Pacific Affairs for TSG for over 10 years, providing regulatory consulting, managing product approval and navigating regulatory intricacy for US and other western clients doing businesses in China. Her consulting services primarily focus on product registration with Chinese regulatory agencies (including Ministry of Agriculture, CFDA and National Health Commission, etc.), sourcing, toll manufacturing, regulatory compliance and market intelligence.

During her earlier career in China, Dr. Chen worked in medicine and agricultural research sectors, and as a result of the many years of working in both countries she has built a strong working relationship with Chinese regulatory agencies, industry associations and registration agents. She acts as a client advocate in front of government officials, facilitates communications between clients and Chinese companies, and connects clients with relevant local business partners.

Dr. Chen’s excellent bilingual skills, extensive knowledge in agricultural sciences and of the medicine, as well as expertise in regulatory requirements, have permitted her to deliver effective and timely services to her clients, enabling them to develop successful partnerships with local businesses in China.
