Giorgia Fedele
Researcher in Plant Pathology at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

Dr. Giorgia Fedele is a Researcher in Plant Pathology at the Department of Sustainable Crop Protection (DIPROVES) of the University of Piacenza. Her research activity is mainly related to the study of the epidemiological and ecological aspects of several pathogens, which affect different crops. The main goal of her studies is to develop mechanistic, dynamic, epidemiological models able to simulate pathogens life cycle and to provide information for disease management. Moreover, she is involved in both validation and evaluation of such models under different environmental conditions. Finally, she is also studying and developing innovative methods (i.e. biocontrol agents) and strategies for disease management for organic and IPM farming.

Agenda Sessions

  • Keynote: Modelling the interactions among Pathogens, Host Plants, Biocontrol Agents, and the Environment: a new approach to biofungicide development
