Senior Investment Officer at European Investment Bank

Calin Jurma is a senior investment officer in the European Investment Bank’s venture debt team with a focus on companies in the Life Sciences sector. He has over 20 years of front office background in deal origination, structuring and negotiation with a wide range of counterparts, from start-ups to publicly listed corporates. He joined the EIB in 2007 and has worked as loan officer across different EU and non-EU geographies, executing transactions from senior debt, guarantees to venture debt and risk sharing structures with corporates, public sector entities, financial institutions and highly innovative start-ups. Prior to joining the EIB, Calin has worked in corporate finance transactions with a top tier bank in Romania. He graduated Economics at the West University of Timisoara, Romania and holds a master in Finance from the same University.
