Laurent Pépin holds a Ph. D in Genetics from University Paris-Orsay (now Paris-Saclay). He started his career as a researcher and worked for 3 years at the laboratory of INRA in Jouy-en-Josas and CIRAD of Guadeloupe. Afterwards, he did a 3-year post-doctoral stay at NIH, Bethesda (USA) dedicated to molecular and cellular biology.After this experience, Laurent returned to France and joined a start-up in Clermont-Ferrand. He subsequently worked for various commercial and industrial companies. First, as a scientific support for high throughput sequencing, later in different positions in sales, marketing, and Business Development for Contract Research Organizations in preclinical and genomics services, always at an international level.Laurent also worked as a Business and Partnerships Director at Genopole, the French leading Biocluster/biopark to respond to the needs of increasing Genopole’s development.Laurent joins Univercells with a broad experience and network of more than 20 years at international level, from start-ups to big pharmaceutical companies and international entities. Laurent will be mostly involved in the growth of Univercells Group, as a cluster of companies, and will increase its international partnership development.
