Lori received her doctorate in Neuroscience from Michigan State University and spent the early part of her career in academia. She moved to industry in 2001 when she joined Pfizer, where she held various positions in discovery and clinical development and served as Head of Translational Medicine from 2009-2011. Before coming to Merck, she led translational and partnerships efforts for the New England Research Institute.
Lori joined Merck in 2013 as Search and Evaluation lead where she drove scouting efforts for Neurology and Rare Diseases. In 2015, she transitioned to a business development transactional role, and has led licensing efforts for various disease and technology areas. Since 2019, she has been leading the Neurology & Immunology Business Development team, driving strategic investments for the Multiple Sclerosis and Autoimmune Disease pipeline from discovery through commercial.
