Andrea GeriniSecretary General at NGVA Europe
Graduated in 1990 as Mechanical Engineer at Politecnico of Milan (Italy), Andrea Gerini started as research engineer at IFP (Institut Français du Pétrole, France) and then he joined Centro Ricerche Fiat (Turin, Italy) in 1997 where he was in charge of the development of Natural Gas engine technologies for passenger cars and, later on, also for heavy duty applications.
During the years he took different positions dealing with the R&D and application programs addressing the development of engine technologies and the use of alternative fuels, being also involved in several EU funded projects.
In 2013 he got responsibility of the Collaboration & Strategic Programs area of FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) Powertrain Engineering for the coordination of the research activities within the EMEA Region, liaising with the cross-regional organization within the FCA Group.
For several years he has been FCA member representative within EUCAR and ERTRAC associations covering the topics related to engine technologies and alternative fuels.
In March 2017 he joined NGVA Europe, the Natural & bio Gas Vehicle Association based in Brussels, as new Secretary General. He is also member of the Board of the NGV Global association.
