Christian holds a Master in Nuclear and Chemical Engineering from XIOS University College, Belgium and a Master of Biomedical Engineering from the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. Early in his career, Christian was affiliated with the Rega Institute for Medical Research where he worked on antiviral drugs and radiopharmaceuticals. He continued his career in biosafety testing and viral clearance studies. For the past 25 years, he has worked on upstream, downstream and filling processes using multi-use and single-use technology for various leading industry suppliers. As a CSO for Meissner, he continues to focus on SUT innovations and material science. He holds several patents in the application of novel polymeric materials. He is an active member in PDA and BPOG work streams and has published more than 25 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. He is a co-author of PDA’s TR 66 on Application of Single-Use Systems in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
