Christie MarchesseaultDirector of Manufacturing at Lyell Immunopharma
Christie has her Bachelor's degree in Biology and Music from Westfield University and her MBA from Boston University. She started her career in autologous cell therapies at Genzyme Biosurgery in Cambridge, Massachusetts, working on both clinical and commercial products. She continued her cell therapy career working on MACI, a next-generation product for Carticel. Christie ventured into large-scale protein biologics to gain experience in standard biopharma manufacturing and working through consent decree. In 2015, she relocated to Washington state to help bring up a manufacturing facility for Juno Therapeutics. Christie joined Lyell Immunopharma as the head of manufacturing for a new facility being built in Bothell, WA, which will manufacture CAR-T and TIL products to support clinical trials for solid tumors.
