Profile
Mike Dolan is a Senior Staff Engineer in the Biotherapeutics Process Development group at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where he has worked since 2016. He focuses primarily on downstream processing, with experience spanning developability, early-stage process development, late-stage process development and characterization, and process validation. In addition to his employment at Takeda, Mike is pursuing his PhD in Chemistry & Chemical Biology through a partnership between Takeda and Northeastern University. Under the tutelage of Dr. Sheldon Oppenheim (at Takeda) and Prof. Sunny Zhou (at Northeastern), Mike is investigating the fundamental nature of select difficult-to-remove host cell protein (HCP) impurities. Outside of the lab, Mike enjoys hiking, skiing, playing soccer, doing yoga, reading fantasy novels, and brewing wine and cider.
