Nathaniel Hogrebe
Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Jeffrey Millman Laboratory, Washington University School of Medicine, USA

Profile

Nathaniel Hogrebe is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Washington University in St. Louis in the laboratory of Dr. Jeffrey Millman, which focuses on differentiating and studying stem cell-derived β-cells for the treatment of insulin-dependent diabetes. His research focuses on improving the process for generating these SC-β cells, particularly by harnessing signaling pathways influenced by the insoluble culture microenvironment to enhance lineage specification, SC-β cell function, and differentiation yields. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton in 2011 and completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University in 2016.
