Sheila Mikhail, Remote - Live with Q&ACEO & Co-Founder at AskBio
Sheila Mikhail is CEO and co-founder of AskBio, a wholly owned, independently operated subsidiary of Bayer AG acquired in late 2020. Ms. Mikhail assumed leadership of AskBio in 2017. With $235 million in Series A funding in 2019, she built AskBio into a clinical-stage company and AAV manufacturer with 300 employees operating in four countries. Prior to AskBio, she served as CEO and co-founder of Bamboo Therapeutics, which was acquired by Pfizer in 2016, and was part of the management team at Chatham Therapeutics, which was acquired by Baxter in 2014. Prior to that, Ms. Mikhail practiced law for more than 15 years and founded Life Sciences Law, a firm that served clients such as Bayer, Gilead, GSK, Sanofi and Aventis. Prior to that, she was with Ropes and Gray in Boston and a management consultant with A.T. Kearney in Chicago.
Ms. Mikhail earned a JD with honors from Northwestern University, a finance MBA with honors from the University of Chicago, and a BS with highest honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
