Sebastian ScholzHead of Laboratory Upstream Process Development at Sanofi
Sebastian studied Molecular Biotechnology at Bielefeld University and received his PhD in the Cell Culture lab of Prof. Thomas Noll. The focus of his thesis was the metabolic and transcriptional behavior of cell lines during fed-batch cultures.
After his graduation he worked at Prof. Leda Castillo’s lab in Rio de Janeiro before joining Novo Nordisk, Måløv (Denmark) as a Research Scientist. In 2015, Sebastian joined Sanofi in Frankfurt as Associate Director in the department of Cell Culture Development. His recent work is on different Late Stage Projects focusing on process development and process characterization.
