Thomas WucherpfennigScientist, Cell Culture Development at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma GmbH & Co. KG
Thomas studied Biotechnology at the Technical University of Braunschweig and Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Canada. He obtained his PhD in Biochemical Engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig. Before joining BI as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2014, he gained expertise in the industrial Biotech sector at Roche and Clariant. Since 2016 Thomas works as an Associate Director in cell culture development in Biberach, focusing on late stage development of new biological entities (NBEs). His research expertise is in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and the scale-up of bioprocesses.
