Christos Papamanthou studied Agronomy & Crop Science in the scientific field of Industrial Crops & Ecology in the Faculty of Agronomy of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. In 2005, he received his master's degree in Agricultural Engineering specialized in optimizing energy-saving models in intensive production conditions with the Master's Thesis Topic: ‘’Improvement of the efficiency of a passive solar system in a Greenhouse by using CO2’’.
His professional career began in 2005 in the Hellenic Agricultural Insurance Organization, estimating certain Plant Capital Losses due to adverse weather conditions.
In the following years, he worked in the private sector in positions related to the development of agricultural holdings through agri-environmental subsidized actions of organic farming, protection of water resources, investment plans, detection of plant protection residues as well as plant manager of an intensive greenhouse production unit.
In 2015 he took over the management of the Agronomy Department of a tobacco processing company, supervising the contracted production of Flue Cured Virginia & Burley tobacco, while, in 2017 he presented a 3 year outcome in Brazil, entitled: “Low Nicotine Content Organic & Purity Residue Clean (PRC) tobacco production in Greece” at the international tobacco congress: CORESTA Agro-Phyto Congress, Santa Cruz do Sul, Brazil, 22-26 October 2017.
Since 2018, from the position of the Export Managing Director, he has undertaken the international development of the company EVYP LLP-Crop Biostimulation Technologies which specializes in the production of biostimulants based on hydrolyzed plant proteins and amino acids for use in conventional and organic farming. He is also extremely involved in product development activities.
