Jean-Christophe CastaingOpen Innovation Director at SOLVAY
JC Castaing held different positions in Research & Innovation within Rhodia and then Solvay, and has more than 20 years of experience in Formulation Science applied to several industries (Paper, Paints and Coatings, Construction, Home and Personal Care, Agro Chemistry), and focusing those past years on Seed Coatings applications.
He spent several years in the US as the Director of a joint lab between Rhodia, The French Scientific Agency CNRS and the University of Pennsylvania named “Complex Assemblies of Soft Matter”.
He is now based near Paris, in charge of Open Innovation and New Projects for the Solvay Business Unit Novecare, seeking innovation opportunities and competencies to support Solvay Novecare development projects. As a member of the Solvay Fellows scientists, he also contributes to building the R&D Roadmap at the Group level.
