Profile
An agronomist and entomologist by training, Manuele has 32 years of experience in Plant Protection and Plant Biostimulants Product R&D. He began his career at the University of Perugia's Institute of Entomology, working mainly with Coccinellids. He then spent 12 months in Pennsylvania (USA) at Ecogen Inc. working as a researcher on Bacillus thuringiensis with specific activity on Lepidoptera and Coleaoptera pests. He next spent 5 months as a visiting scientist at the Rutgers University in New Jersey to work on Entomopathogenic Nematodes. His experience in industry includes working for small, medium and big international companies focusing on developing Biological Pesticides and Biostimulants as innovation tools for a modern agriculture. Among those are AgraQuest and Bayer where he developed Biological products for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region over the last 11 years. He joined LALLEMAND PLANT CARE in 2019 as Agronomy Manager. Manuele was Chair of the Agriculture Committee of the European Biostimulant Industry Council (EBIC) while EBIC developed its "General Principles on Justifying Claims for Plant Biostimulants".
