Noemie De Zutter
PhD Researcher at Ghent University

Noémie De Zutter obtained her Master degree in Biochemical Engineering Technology in 2017 and is currently a second year PhD student in Applied Biosciences at Ghent University (Belgium). Her research focus lies within plant-microbe interactions and microbial ecology, which she studies using a poly-omics approach comprising phenomics, metagenomics and metabolomics. She is developing a selection method for generalistic and specialistic biostimulatory microorganisms in close interaction with a host plant, with current focus on phosphate solubilizing bacteria in the rhizosphere of maize and canola. Additionally, she also aims to obtain  in planta selection of biocontrol microorganisms against soil borne pathogens.

Agenda Sessions

  • In planta selection of rhizosphere competent biostimulant microorganisms through an automated plant phenomics platform
