Jeanne CunicelliExecutive VP at UPMC Enterprises
Jeanne Cunicelli has more than two decades of experience as a life science venture capitalist. Leveraging the resources of $20 billion health care provider and insurer UPMC, Jeanne leads investments related to UPMC’s $200 million initial commitment to innovative therapeutics and diagnostic products, emphasizing immunotherapy for cancer, transplantation, aging and chronic illnesses. She serves on the boards of BlueSphere Bio, Generian, and Humonic. Jeanne was formerly Managing Director at Bay City Capital. She has served on the Boards of IDev Technologies, Protez Pharmaceuticals, NuPathe, Calypso Medical, Oculex and Syntonix Pharmaceuticals. Previously, she managed the Ernst & Young International Life Sciences Group’s annual biotechnology report. Jeanne is a member of the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Mellon University, serving on the executive, compensation, advancement and audit committees. She received an MBA in Finance from the University of San Francisco and BA in Cognitive Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University.
