Dr. Jianbo Yang is a seasoned pharmaceutical process expert with over 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. As Vice President of Asymchem Group, Dr. Yang leads a team of more than 300 professionals, overseeing the development and production of over 200 novel drugs for global pharmaceutical companies. Under his leadership, the team has achieved remarkable growth, introducing over 50 new projects and delivering innovative solutions across various therapeutic areas.

Dr. Yang has been instrumental in the successful research, development, production, and filing of over 15 marketed drugs, including Nilaparib, Sofatinib, Fruquintinib, and Adagrasib. With a strong foundation in organic synthesis, he has designed and optimized complex processes such as the second-generation route for Ceralasertib (AZD6738), incorporating enzyme catalysis and flow chemistry to achieve groundbreaking cost efficiencies.

An acknowledged GMP expert, Dr. Yang has extensive experience supporting clinical research applications (IND), new drug applications (NDA), and supplementary applications (sNDA). His strategic leadership has driven Asymchem’s business expansion, team building, and technology innovation, solidifying his reputation as a trusted partner to major pharmaceutical clients worldwide.

Dr. Yang earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Sichuan University and joined Asymchem in 2007. Rising through the ranks from Research Group Leader to Vice President, his technical expertise, dedication, and collaborative leadership have earned him recognition for advancing pharmaceutical technology and delivering exceptional results.
