Matt McCarthy, MD is an associate professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and the first COVID-19 attending hospitalist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where he was responsible for determining best practices and research protocols. Dr. McCarthy has a degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale and a medical degree from Harvard. Dr. McCarthy has now treated over 1200 COVID-19 patients and has served as a pandemic advisor to the United States Army, New York City public schools, the American Museum of Natural History, both Republican and Democrat congressmen, and a variety of international corporations.
