Owen McCarthy is the President and co-founder of MedRhythms, where he is leading the development of prescription digital therapeutics that use sensors, software, and music to measure and improve walking for patients with a neurologic injury or disease. As the President of MedRhythms, Owen is pioneering new approaches to healthcare and is emerging as a leader in the digital therapeutics industry. He has led MedRhythms through multiple rounds of financing, including a recent Series B round that has totaled $27 million and was led by several top VCs. He is listed as the inventor on two patents for the company’s novel digital therapeutics, serves as the Co-Chair of the Reimbursement Working Group within the Digital Therapeutics Alliance, and represents the digital therapeutics industry in the World Health Organization’s Roster of Experts in Digital Health. His entrepreneurial experience officially began in 2013 when he served on the founding team for the 3D printing company Voxel8, where he led business development after receiving his MBA from Harvard Business School.
