Paul Colvin

President, Clinical Solutions at Syneos Health

As President, Clinical Solutions, Paul is responsible for driving growth and performance for the Company’s industry-leading Clinical Solutions capabilities, delivering Full Service, FSP and Hybrid models; also driving therapeutic alignment and delivery of the Trusted Process®. Paul is a member of the Syneos Health Executive Leadership Team, and serves as the Clinical representative for the Board of Directors. Paul has almost three decades of experience in global clinical development in the CRO and biopharmaceutical industries; most recently he served as Executive Vice President, Biopharma Partnerships at PPD, and Chairman and CEO of PPD-SNBL, a joint venture that has grown to be one of the largest clinical development service providers in Japan. Previously Paul spent nearly 15 years at Eli Lilly & Co in a variety of increasingly significant roles gaining global, operational and patient enrollment experience across multiple therapeutic areas – roles included Head of Clinical Operations and Global Patient Enrollment Optimization, Chief Operations Officer of the Cardiovascular Global Brand team, Head of European Clinical Operations, Head of Global Clinical Operations for the Oncology Product team. Paul earned his Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy from Butler University; is a Registered Pharmacist; and completed executive development programs at London Business School and the Center for Creative Leadership. He is an avid reader and history buff, most especially he and his wife Cheryl enjoy spending time with their two daughters and boating near their home in Wilmington, North Carolina.
