Vangelis Vergetis

Vangelis has been working on the intersection of data science, technology, and healthcare for more than 15 years. He is currently the co-founder and Executive Director of Intelligencia, a company that uses Machine Learning in order to redefine how pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies think of risk and innovation when it comes to developing novel drugs. Prior to that he spent about a dozen years as a consultant at McKinsey and at Hakluyt, focusing exclusively on healthcare and on all things "digital health". Outside of his dayjob, he is a board member and a member of the Executive Committee of the Alliance for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare (AAIH), and a member of the Dean's Advisory Council for Cornell's school of Computing & Information Science. His academic background is in technology. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Computer Science from Cornell
