Marylens HernandezSenior Scientist, Bioinformatics and Data Science Research and Early Development, Oncology R&D at AstraZeneca
Marylens is currently a senior scientist in the Oncology Bioinformatics and Data Science group at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. She obtained her PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York in 2015 with a focus in Bioinformartics and Neuroscience. After graduation, Marylens joined AI Therapeutics as a senior scientist where she led the drug repurposing and biomarker discovery projects in oncology using traditional machine learning and deep learning methods. Early this year, Marylens joined AstraZeneca, where she is currently working on the development of novel computational algorithms for biomarker discovery in the area of immuno-oncology. Marylens’ expertise includes network biology, drug repurposing and machine learning.
