Gennady Khirich, PhD
Scientist at Genentech

Gennady Khirich completed a Ph.D. in biophysical chemistry at Yale University in the laboratory of Prof. J. Patrick Loria. There he studied the functional role of conformational dynamics in enzymes using relaxation dispersion NMR spectroscopy. Currently, Gennady works in the Small Molecule Process Impurities group within Analytical Operations at Genentech, where he specializes in using, developing, and adapting novel quantitative NMR (qNMR) approaches to analyze small molecule impurities and process component clearance in complex matrices, such as cell culture, antibody chromatography pools, and formulated drug product.

Agenda Sessions

  • NMR as a Quantitative Universal Proton Detector in Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing and R&D: Applications to Process Component and Trace Impurity Analysis in Complex Matrices
