Karenna Smith

Senior Associate Scientist at Pfizer

Karenna Smith has been with Pfizer Inc. since June 2021. Prior to joining Pfizer, Karenna completed her Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering at Clemson University in May 2020. Following her undergraduate degree, Karenna graduated with her Master’s degree in Bioengineering in May 2021 after successfully defending her thesis on the development of a three dimensional cell organoid culture for disease modeling of intervertebral disc degeneration. Additionally, during her time at Clemson University, Karenna worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals gaining upstream mammalian process development experience. Since starting at Pfizer, Karenna has worked primarily on upstream cell-free process development and high throughput automation innovation.
