Ailish McCartan works as a Principal Scientist at BMS, (Cruiserath Biologics, Ireland) based in the Manufacturing Sciences & Technology Process Analytics team. With more than 16 years’ experience in biomanufacturing, Ailish's expertise includes Bioassay and Bioanalytical techniques within Quality control environments and analytical process development support roles. In her current position, Ailish supports analytics used for DS manufacturing of late-stage development and commercial biotherapeutics, from monoclonal antibodies to fusion proteins of increasing complexity.

Ailish is involved in the technical and strategic direction for in-process analytical methods, with particular focus on impurity analysis. Ailish graduated in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Dublin Institute of Technology.
