Diploma degree in Food Technology from the University of Applied Sciences of Weihenstephan (Germany). 

After my study I started my career in the area of product development  and  development of functional food ingredients for the dairy industry. 

In 2010 I joined Boehringer- Ingelheim (BI) as a Teamleader and Senior Scientist in the Cell Culture Process Development and Clinical Supply unit. Here I gained a lot of experience in the field of cell culture media development and processing of Biopharmaceuticals for clinical studies under cGMP.

Since 2017 Andreas I`m heading BI´s global Cell Culture Media Development Group in Biberach (Germany) with focus on cell culture  media formulation development, scale up and liquid media/raw material characterization strategies.
