Christian Ostermeier, Ph.D.Head of Process Sciences at Novartis Pharma AG
Christian received his PhD in Chemistry from Frankfurt University, Germany. After a postdoc at the Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, he has joined Novartis Research as a Structural Biologist in 1998. In 2009, he transferred to Biologics Development at Novartis, Basel, where he has been holding several roles of increasing responsibility, mainly in early phase development. He gained broad experiences in various areas: innovation projects, late stage development, outsourcing and transfer activities. Currently Head of Process Sciences, Christian drives science and innovation and helps project teams finding the right development strategies, especially for complex projects.
