Cristina Bruno

Program Manager - mRNA, Tech Transfer at World Health Organisation

With 10 years’ experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, Cristina Bruno started her career at Novartis Vaccines as Formulation Scientist in the technical development team. She then covered Project Leader roles in both Pharmaceutical Development and in Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, she worked as Project Manager in a CDMO being responsible for the development and industrialization of both biologics and ATMPs, including mRNA. She has taken the role of consultant Programme Manager for WHO mRNA Technology transfer Hub Programme in March 2022. Cristina holds a PhD in Vaccine Epidemiology/Pharmaceutical Development from Siena University, Italy.
