Julian Morris is Emeritus Professor of Process Control at Newcastle University, Visiting Professor in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde and Director of the Centre for Process Analytics and Control Technology (CPACT). He was head of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering from 1990 to 1995 and the first head of the new School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials. He is a member of the Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) Advisory Committee and has been since CPI’s inception. In 2003 he was elected to Fellow of Britain’s Royal Academy of Engineering for his contributions to Process Systems Engineering. In May 2015 readers of the Medicine Maker voted Julian Morris one of the most influential people in the world working in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
