Robert Pletzenauer

Head of Gene Therapy Analytics at Takeda

Robert Pletzenauer is heading the Gene Therapy Analytics team of Takeda, Austria. He holds a degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the University of Applied Sciences Krems and a master’s in Biotechnology and Bioanalytics from the Vienna University of Technology. He has also been trained and certified as “Qualified Person”.

His team’s responsibility includes the definition of the analytical control strategy for gene therapy products, the development and qualification of necessary assays and their routinely execution to ensure an efficient process development. The applied portfolio includes technologies such as ddPCR, ELISA, AUC, HPLC, CE and in vitro potency assays.
