Simone BlayerGlobal Head CMC at PATH
Simone Blayer is the Global Head, Chemistry, Manufacturing, Control and Non-clinical Toxicology (CMC&NT) in PATH’s Center for Vaccine Innovation and Access.
Simone has over two decades of diverse industry experience in all aspects of CMC, including vaccine process development and optimization, production at-scale, technology transfer, facility engineering, project management (PMP) and leadership, and business development. Simone joined PATH after founding the CMC function at the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovation (CEPI) as its first Head, where he was responsible for CMC plans and activities of all 26 CEPI-funded vaccine projects. Prior to CEPI, Simone held several positions in CMC and project management biotech and multi-national pharma throughout Europe and Asia, including Serono, Baxter, Novartis Vaccines, and Astellas Pharma. He is an Italian Israeli national and earned his PhD in Biochemical Engineering from University College London, UK.
