Valentina Mangiafridda

Valentina Mangiafridda is the Director of Biotech Operations at MSD Switzerland. Valentina leads the Drug Substance production in fed-batch and continuous process for Clinical Supply of Biologics for MSD. Her department includes a Validation and a Technology and Engineering team leading the implementation of the new equipment and technologies including continuous process. Before joining MSD, Valentina worked in managerial positions in CDMOs, taking care of CAPEX, OTi, and Tech Transfer; building on her knowledge of microbial upstream continuous processes. Valentina's academic journey started with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin focusing on Bioprocessing and progressed then with an MBA from Leeds Business School.
