Jing Liao is Director of Vector Development and Operations at Alexion Pharmaceuticals. Her team is focusing on plasmid optimization and cell line engineering to increase the yield of AAV production. She is also working on capsid engineering to improve the properties of the capsids. Dr. Liao was trained in Molecular, Cell and Stem cell Biology. She got her PhD from Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology (IBCB), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) focusing on gene editing and reprogramming. She held a postdoctoral position at Harvard University studying epigenetic regulations.
